Microsoft Exchange Administrator

Position Summary:

The Microsoft Exchange Administrator is primarily responsible for day-to-day IT service desk; managing all Microsoft Exchange related projects and services. This Senior Level resource is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, customer-driven IT services to an enterprise-class business environment. The Microsoft Exchange Administrator is a member of a dedicated, high performing team of IT professionals providing 24 x 7 support to a fast-paced, international business organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of Exchange, Windows, Active Directory, GPO
  • Basic operation of network
  • Manage and maintain third-party email security / filtering solution
  • Architect and manage new projects and deployment of infrastructure
  • Provide level 3 support for the help desk (regarding Exchange / AD)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using Exchange / AD
  • Monitors Exchange / Active Directory server performance and mail routing.
  • Provide internal documentation for daily operation
  • Participate in project review meetings as needed.
  • Work in a team environment and foster open communication to ensure knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Participate in on-call after-hours coverage in case of emergency issue arises.
  • Availability to participate in troubleshooting emergency events 24/7/365.

 

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, GPO, DNS, etc
  • 5+ years of experience design, maintain and support a multi-site, high-availability Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 environment (HA, DAG, MSCS, etc)
  • 5+ years of experience performing regular maintenance to ensure the system is secure, healthy, and fully redundant
  • 5+ years of experience with back up and recovering Microsoft® Exchange servers and databases
  • Ability to serve as a Microsoft Exchange escalation resource
  • Provide leadership and recommendations on improving overall IT systems and infrastructure with a particular focus on Microsoft® Exchange services
  • Investigate and utilize Microsoft Exchange services to improve business operations or streamline business processes
  • Basic Knowledge of ITIL (Change Management, Process Management, etc)
  • Physical requirements - must be able to lift 40 pounds
