Data Center Administrator (Data Center Facility)

The Data Center Administrator provides an overall focus on positive pro-active end-user customer service through phone, email, face-to-face, and our internal case management systems. Monitors all business-critical systems and escalates issues accordingly. Maintaining accurate logs of incoming and outgoing customer equipment and ensuring facility cleanliness. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Customer Relations
  • Provide weekly/monthly report of onsite activity
  • Participate in IT related conferences and be able to provide meeting analysis
  • Adapt to the customer’s fast-paced and fast-changing Road Map
  • Cooperate and coordinate with onsite team members
  • SDSA Asset Management (Equipment, Parts, Spare items included)
  • Data Center Management (Order related tasks and expansion forecasts)
  • Manage purchase orders for team members
  • HW construction support/responsibility (Vendor Control included)
  • HW warranty responsibility
  • Provide various reports accordingly for current projects (monthly report included)
  • Richardson, TX DRT support when needed
  • Travel between main office and Data Center when needed

 

Qualifications

  • General System Administration skills are needed in support of Linux and Windows HPC (High Performance Computing) systems. This includes but is not limited to incident and change management, installation of hardware / software, system upgrades, patching.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
  • Experience with a broad range of HPC applications
  • Understanding of application, server, and network security is highly desired.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
